If there drift rims, imo Go to Supercheap, get some sand paper, get some primer, get a few cans of Matte white and do it yourself.

Youll pay a few hundred bucks for Powerder Coating, and then its extra to get scuffs etc removed.. And since there drift rims youll most likely add to it anyway...

to get wheels powder coated most places like them to be sandblasted first. i got mine done in airport west but they dont have a wide range of colours. theres plenty of places around, look in the yellow pages and go check out their work

What sort of prices have people been paying for powder coating?

Looking at a set of rims atm that i wouldn't mind getting powdercoated down the track...

i'd also like to know how much powder coating costs roughly..

also is there any diff between say powder coating white, and spraying in a gloss white prof with air gun as if you'd be spraying a car.

got a quote from a mate at a panel shop to spray each rim $100 gloss white.

so you reckon sandpaper...primer and then just the colour?? can i buy and use the cheap aussie export brand? its like $3 a can lol

export is what people normally use, if u want a better finish / more variets of colours use ironlak or proline,
as for powdercoaing rims, my dads mate in sunshine that acid cleans/sandblasts rims that already have paint on them, then powdercoats them, could prob get them done for $50 per wheel if u want me to come talk to him when u show him the wheels.

If you check out my thread you see some pictures of the result.

$125ea rim will get you repair, alloy filling, preppin and powder coating...
