No probs. Yeah, it should all be the same. The S15 alternator chassis is effectively the same as the S13 one, and the eyelet terminal on the harness will be the same size or bigger than the S13 one, so that should be easy to deal with. Sweet sounds good. Just a little concerned on how much the belt can take before it "may" come off since it'll sit a further 7mm as claimed?
  2. S15 Spec R

You use the standard factory S13 alternator belt. I'll throw up a guide when I have a chance, as there is some conflicting information on the net regarding this, hence I didn't realise that the pulley on the 125amp unit [i already owned] wasn't different to the S13 one. If you want a simple installation, then do exactly the same as Kirk. Get [ONLY] a 125amp Nissan Quest alternator, a 90mm turnbuckle, some M8x35mm bolts, an oem S13 belt, drill the lower holes out to 10mm, drill the rear positive S13 harness eyelet out by 2mm, then it all bolts together like factory. If however you're concerned about the belt wearing and coming off due to the alternator pulley being 7mm too far forward, then make the mods that I did to the lower bracket, shim the difference using washers, shim the adjustment rose joint and call it a day. Good info thanks for the quick simple write up! "drill the rear positive S13 harness eyelet out by 2mm" ^^Same for s15 and still using s13 or s15 alt belt?

  6. BM50 help for my s15

yeh sweet thanks for the info ill give the r34 gtt bm50 a go then see how it feels with the r33 brakes.
  7. can anyone confirm the r34 gtt bm50 + brake booster will work with r33 front and rear brakes on a Nissan silvia s15??? ive done some research on the skyline forums but cannot be 100% sure itll work with the r33 brakes on the s15. some information I gathered to why the s15 bm50 should be changed to skyline bm50 is because when upgrading the rear brakes to Skyline 2 pot calipers it will probably result in less braking force going to the rears under high brake pressures. The best option would therfore to swap the S15 MC for a BM50 from a 300zx or Skyline BM50. the models include R32 GT-T M-spec BM50 25.4mm R32 GTR non Brembo BM50 25.4mm and r34 gtt apparently. my supplier has neither but the r34 so need to confirm before I buy it - thanks in advanced

  9. checking and testing are two different things, multimeter should give you a better answer. make sure the plastic part that holds the bulb isnt cracked either. hope that helps. goodluck
  10. use a multimeter to check voltage from the wiring. does your fuse blow when you turn your lights on?
  11. intank fuel pump noise on hot days

had? so you've changed it since then or you still running it?
  12. intank fuel pump noise on hot days

IIRC being? more than normal on hot days though cause as stated earlier only hot days its louder? if the pump was gone then i wouldn't be able to boost at all neither would the car be running properly, this only happens on really hot days other days works fine,
  13. intank fuel pump noise on hot days

Ok thanks for the clarification, I guess that's why were told to take it easy on hot days ahh Yeh relay switch for the pump so voltage does not drop
