We all drive silvias because we are povos, what car(s) would you drive if you were wealthy?

Recommended Posts

So let's say you make a couple million a year, what would your garage look like?

For me, I'd pretty much retain the same choice in cars, just have more, so my garage would look something like:

Silvia S14

Silvia S15

Toyota Supra RZ (streeter)

Toyota Supra RZ (track)

R32 GT-R Vspec II

R33 GT-R 400R if I was lucky :P

R34 GT-R V-spec II (streeter)

R34 GT-R V-spec II (track)

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A

Porsche 911 Turbo S

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche 964 Turbo, 3.6 generation

what about you guys? Still rolling around in a silvia or something else?

Without a doubt some sort of formula car. If we're talking actual baller status, ex Ferrari F1 cars are usually a good bet - Ferrari provides servicing to customers, albeit at truly bum-penetrating costs.. e.g. wreck the front wing on a kerb, enjoy your $700,000 bill.

Ignoring the totally unrealistic options, I'd probably pick up an outdated formula 3 or something, surely can pick up one for less than 50k and do sub 1:30 SMSP all day. Or maybe a Radical SR8. Then add a turbo if I get bored and kill myself doing hill climbs :| But yeah, by comparison, any sort of road car is pleb status for track

Daily, I still like classic cars. So I guess a Toyota GT2000 or Miura if we're talking stupid money ;)

If we're just talking 100% pay rise or something, prolly an R34 GT-R.

daily E63 AMG

weekender 911 GT2

tow car SQ7

track slart shit box R33

The porsche would still be better track car - even though I can't really love Porsches, they're still one of the few manufacturers that builds cars that are really trackable out of the factory

Although you would have to pay for them to be trained and effectively hire them from a farm owner, for a hilarious and eccentric weekend vehicle where city zoning permits, a small double-seat carriage pulled by goats. Nothing says "look at the cock on this guy" like a dude in a suit riding a carriage being pulled by goats, sipping a drink, ideally with the goats yelling at people and taking massive dumps at intersections or near large groups of tourists. Would pull gold diggers harder than a Lambo.

As for a track car, I don't think you could get past a Suzuki Cappuccino for the fun factor, boost the sh*t out of it, skid it and hope not to hit a small animal and die in a fiery inferno.

For daily driver cars, well my tastes are too varied, so I'd likely end up with a mix of 90's Jap sports cars, some modern and classic American muscle/pony/sports cars, and some poofy Euro exotics.

2016 Corvette Stingray vert

2014 Viper

1969 Fastback Mustang with a 427 swap and a stupid cam

Pink Honda NSX because I like that car, and the paint is sure to p*ss some fanboy off

R34 GTR

R35 GTR

FD RX7 with an obnoxious peripheral port job

Honda S600 with an S2000 drivetrain retrofit, assuming that's even possible

Some random Lambo for gold diggers, because there's no reason not to hit it if you have the cash to pull it for free.

Some random Ferrari convertible so I can drive around and p*ss people off. Drop the top and crank up the volume with some bizarre ethnic music playing, or cruise George St with bogan tracks from ACDC, hardcore hillbilly banjo solos, or poofter classics like Village People YMCA.

So essentially, if I had the cash to flesh out a supreme garage collection, I'd probably just end up being as much of a d*ck as I already am in my 180sx.

Tell that to the guy at my last track day who's Cayman got a Check Engine Light after 3 quick laps while me, an S2K and even a Renault had no problems all day.

I'd love to just take over Jay Lenos garage. Too many nice cars to choose just one.

However I would have to get my hands on a Lancia Delta S4 group B rally car, that is a given.

I'd keep the S15 and get one of each model GTR, also a given.

I think it depends how wealthy, like if i was on a 200k a year wage in my current age i think i would be driving around in a 35GTR, 2015 Model with all the bells from factory.

In a few years time? With a family? Prob more like a Landrover Evoque with all the bells.

If i was making top dollar, and was really doing well for myself.. Ferrari 458 Italia as a weekender and a Maserati 4door as a daily.

If your on 200k a year it's about 120 in the hand and to own a r35gtr on that would leave you with no money if you have a house and or a family, yous be asking your Misso for fuel money.

If I was on the big bucks I'd probobly have a nice s15 or subie rebuilt to like new with tasteful mods.

A Rangee for a tow or weekend cruzer

Yeah, very pragmatic mindset. But you'd really keep an S15? I would too, but I'm interested in why instead of an S15, you wouldn't have say any of the other Japanese greats; skyline, supra, rx7 etc

Because I love the s15. Done right it can be timeless and wankless. I'm 31 so I'm a little pragmatic lol. I earn good money and chose a nice s15 and a Range Rover sport but have sold both as they were just sitting around. I nearly bought an r35gtr but smarter minds prevailed and was worried about the holding cost.

Good point! But i wouldnt buy a 35GTR new i would get used so ultimately that would only cost 80-90k, So i would still have somewhat bank leftover. I already have a EP3 TypeR daily so atleast my weekday fuel usage would offset the weekend haha.

Although when you factor in house payments + life 40k clear may be enough to scrape by.

But ultimately i dont think i would buy a 80k car cash up front, id just finance it and take the loss of 1-2k.

A increase in my income would see the following

- Buy houses as investments

- Stop fart assing around with my 180 and build it into a street monster

- Rather then have a boring Lancer as a daily I'd have a 280z (recently growing a soft spot for the old Z's)

- Restore my MK1 Escort coupe and Panelvan

- Build a rally car out of my second MK1 Escort coupe

- Restore my MK2 Escort

Essentially all the above is what I'm trying to do currently only that I don't have enough money for so many projects at one time

Probably would look into a Ferrari if funds permitted. That's my choice of exotic car

If money was no object my garage would consist of

Lexus GS F (when it come out) for daily

Finish building my s13 street / drag

Datsun 510 SSS Coupe for fun

R35 GTR because it's my dream car and for some circuit work

And either a Koningseg or Lamborghini Aventador for when I feel like being car jacked.
