good read

had to explain the importance of progressive overload to a friend the other week, who's training consisted of benching 20kg(+bar) for 10 reps each week without ever increasing the weight...

i used to work with a guy who wouldnt ever go up in weight. he was a beginner and worked his way up to 22kg dumbell bench presses pretty quickly but stayed at 24kg for 6 f**king months. he was so cocky that his training would get him 'ripped' even though he had no muscle and was weak as piss. its been 8 months and hes still as tubby as when he started going to the gym and not any stronger.

Good read...I've fallen into the routine of doing the same weights, and made a conscious effort to up them after reading the article. Hopefully I keep it going
